園では節分にみんなで豆まきをしました。３匹の恐ろしい鬼がやってきたので、福豆を投げつけてやっつけました。鬼が怖かった園児もおりましたが、みんなで楽しく豆を投げました。

On Monday the 3rd of February we had our Setsubun day. The students experienced throwing “fuku mame” at monsters to get good luck. There were 3 scary monsters! Some students were scared but most had fun throwing beans at the monsters.

子どもたちは各クラスで鬼のお面を作り、かぶりました。とっても素敵にできたお面で、鬼を怖がらせることができたと思います。日本の季節行事を、みんなで楽しむことができました。

The students made some great monster masks of their own in Japanese class. Well done students for the fantastic and artistic masks! It was great to see the students enjoy this Japanese tradition

今週木曜日にはいよいよ英検Jr.を受けました。みなさん、力を発揮できたでしょうか。年少のパッションクラスのみなさんにとっては初めての英検です。いろいろな経験を糧に、より多くの学びを続けていってほしいと思います。

After we finished the event, class resumed as normal. This week we will have our Eiken Jr. tests. Good luck to all the students doing the tests! Especially Passion class, who are doing it for the first time. Let’s try to learn a lot from the experience. Ganbatte!
